We're playing at Blackout club in Rome tonight,but we arrived into the city early this morning so we got the chance to head off to Olimpico to see Lazio get a point out of their match with Genoa. It ended 1-1,and we stood in the curva nord,which is where the atmosphere and singing is. It was ace. A missed penalty,a disallowed goal-all the fun of the fair!

Alright folks-here I am (with Russell,our ubiquitous merch guy) taking in the sights and sounds of a pretty wet piazza signoria in the amazing Italian town,Firenze. We wanted to find the Gabriel Batistuta statue near Fiorentina's ground,but for now we'll settle for a sweet gelato in the rain...

We're in Warsaw,Poland today. We're playing the Proxima venue - it's freezing outside but it's so nice to see a line of people waiting for the show. It's our first time in Poland,but I'm impressed with the warmth of the fans here-I already hope we'll be back. Fingers crossed the show will be as good as the people-here's an image of the ticket for the show.

Here's Dave,our tour manager Paul,and myself outside of Oslo's famous 'Elm Street' bar,hangout of many a black-metal band member,and,for our short time in Norway,for the Futureheads too. Didn't see anyone in corpse paint,mind. Shame really.... X

For my 26th birthday the other week,my mate Paul Reed got me this book by Norman Mailer. It is changing my life. I think with this guy's voice in my head. I watch telly through his eyes. The book is having more of a profound effect on me than any other in recent memory. Thoroughly recommended.

In case you hadn't guessed... Here I am at the world famous leaning tower. We've got a day off in Pisa after last night's show in fuccechio. Tomorrow,we have a festival in Bonn,Germany. But for now,it,s all about journeying to the top of this baby! X

Yesterday, iberian airways lost my luggage on a journey from New York to Madrid. For 24 hours,i feared the worst. But today, after a lifesaving twelve hour sleep,my bag turned up at the hotel,putting me in a much better mood! Today,we play a festival in the main plaza in Madrid-here is the backstage pass.
