A contemplative Micky Waters basks in the delectable afternoon sun outside The Answer rehearsal rooms in County Down, Northern Ireland…”Don’t think about it too much mate!” we tell him…”Remember, Thought Destroys Art!”.
“Don’t worry my children” comes the reply “I’m just wondering which wine to have with dinner this evening”.
A truly beautiful man I think on that we all agree…wha?
Last week we spent another hugely successful 4 days in the studio with Neal Calderwood and as such there are now another list of songs to add to the ever expanding group of potential tracks for Answer album number 3.
It is all starting to come together nicely folks.
This week we have mostly been rehearsing and dusting off the cobwebs in preparation for the our show at Willowstone Festival at Delamont Country Park, Downpatrick this Saturday the 3rd July 2010…Wasn’t that a sweet plug?!
Anyway, hope to see some of y’all there???
By the by, we have been rehearsing a few of the aforementioned new songs as well so who knows what the hell will happen come Saturday. Spooky.
Wha?

Just heard the sad news that Stuart Cable passed away earlier today. I honestly can’t believe it.
Here’s a photo of me and Stuart backsatge after The Answer played in Cardiff a few years ago.
He was a lovely guy and a true Rocker and Roller in every way.
You will be missed by everyone in The Answer mate.

Metal May Blog
Hey guys
Just to let you know we are still working away as hard as ever. We have over 15 songs now for the new album and still going strong, another great Answer rocker flowing out today.
We took a night off last week to go see Metallica in Belfast – what a great show and great band (apart from Lars).
In fact, I think it may have left a bit too much of a lasting impression on some of us…
I’ll let you be the judge.

Album 3 Update
Hey,
Just to let you know what we have been up to over the last while…writing, writing, writing!!!
We spent the last few weeks in our rehearsal room / studio working on countless new ideas – and 5 days last week in Manor Park Studio in Toome, Northern Ireland writing and honing 7 of those into songs. The session went swimmingly and there are a couple of great Answer rockers under our belts alongside some new, different and very interesting stuff.
Just got home this evening and had a listen and I have to admit I’m very excited. Album 3 is shaping up to be amazing already. The plan for the next few weeks is to get back into the rehearsal room and get the next bunch of ideas knocked into shape. I’ll let ya know how we are getting on.
Hopefully Cormac will stay away from the keys!!!

Well hello again…(twice in one week!)…
Here’s a quick clip of us jamming back in November getting ready for the UK tour…(as I promised way back then).
Sorry about the sound quality – it’s pretty noisy in the practice room – as you can tell.
But – can you tell what we are trying out?
More soon.

Hey Guys,
So here’s a quick glimpse from our recent run in Spain…and like every good rock n’ roll tour, we got lost along the way…all together now…”rock n’ roll!”.
The Spanish dates were great fun, and despite how this video may look, it was freezing cold and snowing while we were there. We would like to say a big thank you to all the Spanish fans for coming out to the shows and making them so much fun despite the hangovers and the projectile vomiting on stage (yuck-don’t remind me!). We can’t wait to see y’all again soon. Remember to spread the word of The Answer for us.
Anyway, we are back in the rehearsal room this week, writing and demoing more new songs and ideas for album 3.
Wish me luck!!!
James
P.S. – As you can see I have eventually got the video working here so as I have been promising forever…more soon.

New P Bass and New Charvel for Answer Guitarists
Hey Guys,
Guess what…We’re back!
As you may or may not have heard – we are back in the rehearsal room and have started work on the 3rd album.
Back to the old 9-5 slog (more like 2-5) and tomorrow is Friday so we are taking the day off.
But so far so good…some great new ideas shining through already. It’s very exciting for all of us, especially Micky who has been granted permission to go back out in public. We are all rooting for you mate.
Watch this space for more interesting photos, videos and dirt about the new songs, album 3 and Mickys underpants as things progress.

Yo.
So we have wrapped up our time with AC/DC (for now).
After 13 months and 118 gigs it came to an end in Houston, Texas on Sunday night.
We would just like to say a massive thank you to Brian, Malcolm, Angus, Cliff and Big Phil for such an amazing year.
One we will never forget.
Also, to all of the crew for all their help, hardwork and support, and for making us part of the family.
We will see you all further on up the road and we are looking forward to it!!!
We have a bit of free time at home this week before embarking on our long awaited UK tour.
It’s going to be so good to see so many familiar faces again.
The first night in Manchester is now sold out and the others aren’t far behind so get your tickets quick and spread the word!!!
It’s going to be an incredible tour and we have worked out a great set for it.
Rehearsals start on Monday, I’ll get some footage up then.
